“Logan is trusted,” said Godby head girls basketball coach Chelsea Muir.
A four year varsity athlete, it’s been like that from year one.
“Her freshman year, it seemed like we had so many injuries, which caused her to now become a starter,” said Muir. “Not only a starter, I remember her first game starting she hit a buzzer beater win. Logan is trusted right?”
“Every year it’s always been leading by action,” added Muir. “As she’s grown, she’s become a vocal leader, and she is quiet, but her team and her teammates follow her, because she’s getting it done.”
Trusted on the court, and in the classroom. As a dual enrolled student, Cornelius has a 4.0 GPA.
“My mom always told me that if I didn’t do my work before practice then I’m not going, so she really motivates me to do my work.”
“I always say that this orange ball is a blessing because it’s the navigational tool to prepare them for what’s next,” said Muir. “When you talk about that type of student athlete, one that we’re blessed to have in this program, you can’t help but be excited about her being a standout.”
